Federal Funding in Short Supply for Rural Water Projects

A pipeline project intended to bring billions of gallons of water a year to a drought-stricken section of eastern New Mexico represents a lifeline to parched communities that are quickly running out of water. The lifeline, however, might not reach the region for more than a decade, even though officials say some areas don’t have that long before wells dry up.

Call for Speakers – Water Asset Management Conference

UIM: Water Utility Infrastructure Management and the SWIM Center at Virginia Tech are looking for speakers for the 15th annual Water Asset Management Conference in Arlington, Va., Dec. 2-3, 2015. If you are interested in presenting to executive-level municipal representatives and consultants involved in the fields of water, wastewater and stormwater, we want to hear from you. The deadline to submit an abstract is April 1.
